The Adventures of Austin Girl And The Legend of Diablo is a fun, wacky, way-out-there story about Austin Girl, whose grandfather is kidnapped by Diablo and brought to the world of Planet Disco. Diablo wants the Samari sword Lucky has in his antique shop so he can rule the universe. And Austin Girl must save Lucky, and in turn the entire universe from Diablo.
This is targeted for the pre-teen (tween) age group and I think middle school girls would probably like it. The premise is great and the characters colorful. However, the story was bogged down too much description and telling instead of showing. I was yanked out of the story a number of times because of it.
I would give it 3 stars.
