Genre Favorites Blog Fest

Good Monday Morning to all :)

It's time for Alex J. Cavanaugh's Genre Favorites Blog Fest.

One blogfest, four favorites!
List your favorite genre of:
And a guilty pleasure genre from any of the three categories!
If you'd like to join in, just click on my title for this blog and it will take you over to Alex's blog where you can sign up :)
Here are mine:
My favorite movie genre: Romance
I'm a sucker for a good romance and this one had not only me in tears, but also my husband. That's how I rate a good romance. If it'll make him cry, it's a winner! I love the emotional roller coaster that romance movies bring.
 My favorite music genre:

Yup, good old country music. Bet my school years friends would have never guessed that in a million years. I was Pop and Rock through and through growing up. Swore I'd never listen to Country Music as that's all my parents listened to. Now, I love it. Even the old Country Music. There's nothing like it :)
My favorite books genre:
Had to have seen this one coming. I love Romance books. As far as a sub-genre goes, I like them all from crazy space ones to the contemporary and all in between. I just love my HEAs.
And now my guilty pleasure genre for movies:
Right up my alley. Horror movies. I love the whole 'hide my face but peek through my fingers and jumping a mile high' thing. Even now, if I watch a real good one, I'm afraid to get out of my bed after. Lol. Go ahead and laugh. It's okay. I love it :)
So, there are mine :) Going to go visit everyone else's! Have a great Monday.

  1. I enjoy a good horror film now and then.

  2. I agree, there is just something about a great scary movie to get the heart racing. I am happy to see that you like romance novels too. A great romance movie is a lot of fun too and there is nothing wrong with country music. You go girl!

  3. Horror is hard for me to read or watch in movies, although I do like dark mysteries and thrillers. And even though I didn't list country music as my top favorite, I love it too. I love the songs of Garth Brooks and Toby Keith the most.

  4. I thought I'd commented here - maybe not... so many blogs. To be succinct, horror? AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH NOOOOO!

  5. Horror is really hard for me to watch in movies and whatnot. It's just not my thing. But the others are great choices!

  6. Your favorite movies are my guilty pleasure!
Thanks for participating in my blogfest.

  7. It amazes me how many people have romance and horror in their mix. Seems odd to me but they're turning up all over Alex's blogfest.

  8. I used to be into horror when I was younger. As I've gotten older, I've turned into a lightweight, lol. I only watch every now and again. Last one I saw was The Thing (2011).

  9. Everyone loves a good romantic movie, if they say otherwise they are lieing :)

  10. Some very famous horror movies amongst your choices, how do you sleep at night. I watched The Orphan the other night and had such a restless sleep I woke up and my hair looked like a birds nest.

    1. Lol. Believe it or not, my nightmares consist of my grandbaby hitting his head on the coffee table and bleeding all over the place. Seriously, that's what I dreamt about last night.

  11. Hi, Donna,

Dropping in from the blogfest. Nice to meet you, Donna! Ah, a romantic .... there can never be enough of you/us around. I am a closeted romantic. lol.

BUt, HORROR. Now that's a surprise from a romantic. lol. Always fun to have something that is uniquely you!

New follower. Looking forward to more of your posts.

    1. Thank you Michael. I know...romantic and horror. One extreme to the other. I can't help myself.

  12. That's a whole lot of romance going on! Well done list. I like some horror. Not gore but scare is good.
    Thanks for sharing.

  13. I thought The Notebook was a very good movie, however, I am not a typical romance movie watcher. I prefer adventure and horror. Now following your blog. Cheers!

  14. Hi, Donna,
Like you, I enjoy country music and romance novels top my list.

  15. Hi, Donna. I'm a horror writer who loves Rom Coms, so I had to stop and say hello when you listed those as well. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
