The A-Z Blogging Challenge Reflections Post

Wow, what a month! I have successfully completed the A-Z Blogging Challenge and am very proud of myself and everyone else who also completed it! Yay us!!!

It has been such a great opportunity for me to have been involved in the Blogging Challenge. Thank you goes out to the people who made the challenge possible:

Arlee Bird Tossing It Out
Alex J. Cavanaugh Alex J. Cavanaugh
Candace Ganger The Misadventures in Candyland
Jeffrey Beesler Word of the Scribe
Jen Daiker Unedited
Talli Roland Talli Roland
Karen J. Gowen Coming Down the Mountain
Stephen Tremp Breakthrough Blogs

I've discovered lots of blogs and have met some wonderful people from all around the world.

The biggest change in myself involving my blog is consistency. I'm more disciplined in posting daily. I've also learned how to narrow down on a topic quickly and stay focused on my goal for the blog post.

Was there anything I didn't like about the challenge? Well. not really. Finding the time was a bit tricky at first, but I discovered how to post ahead and schedule those posts. It made my life much easier.

What did you learn from the challenge? The best thing about it? The worst? And will you do it again next year?

  2. During the challenge, I learned that time is not always on our side, lol. I also learned that it's best to pre-write and pre-publish posts in advance to save time. I also wish that I wrote shorter posts for those who prefer to read shorter posts, so this is something that I will have to work on in the future. It's just in my habit and style to write long posts, which is also why my comments tend to be long as well.

The best thing was receiving new visitors.

The worse thing was coming across blogs that dropped out of the challenge or worse....didn't even start.

Yes, I would do it again.

  3. Nicole-I found that to be a little annoying. It must have clicked on ten blogs and found them to not even exist before I finally stopped. It became time consuming, but I came across alot of great blogs too.

  4. Thanks for sharing Donna. I'm one of the 'didn't join' mentioned. Not that I didn't want to but that I know I would've had to drop out before the end this time. With three books, one deep into editor requested revisions since Feb. (not that you don't know about that one!) and another returning soon with possible revisions (or this one, either), I knew I needed to focus on those and get finished to sell. I haven't even been able to keep my blog current this month- down at least three posts from usual- I hope to join next year though. I want one of those cool badges! :) See ya on the home loop, Twinkie.

  12. Hi, Donna,

Nice to meet you. I hadn't made it to your blog during the challenge, but I am glad I finally made it.

Congrats on finishing. I/m glad you go so much out of it.

So did I, but it was a lot of work. I did flash fiction with a twist posts... It nearly killed me... LOL.
