I'm in the process of revising my first manuscript and am now wondering if I shouldn't just put it down before I rip it all to hell.
When I was finished writing it, I set it aside for about two months. Upon pulling it out, I realized it needed some serious reworking. But I think now I'm overdoing it. When do you know when this is happening?
I feel as though I'm making it stronger definitely. But, at the same time, I feel as though I'm killing it.
Is this how revisions really work? I'm sure all writers go through the same thing. I have three more chapters to go to where I think it will be set.
Is revisions this torturous to you?
